The OSCPA is hosting a summer Beach Conference at the eco-friendly, sustainably-designed Lodge at Gulf State Park in Gulf Shores, AL.

Masterfully appointed with modern amenities, every aspect of the property has been designed to be respectful of the land and creatures around it. As for activities, the Lodge is steps away from 28 miles of hiking and biking trails and its beach-front location provides easy access to a host of water activities, so whether you want to get your long run in, kayak the Gulf, or simply lounge on the beach, there is something for everyone.

The conference will offer 4 hours of CPE each morning, leaving you free to enjoy your afternoons and evenings. Mark your calendar and make plans to join us this summer!

Jennifer H. Elder

Jennifer Elder, CPA, CMA, CIA, CFF, CGMA is an executive coach who helps smart professionals transform from technically talented to strategically savvy. As a keynote speaker and trainer, she has presented her engaging and highly interactive sessions to over 15,000 people in all 50 states and 12 countries. Her clients include Home Depot, Campari, Experian, HP, Capgemini, and Oracle. She started her career in public accounting at a regional firm. She chaired the accounting department at a New Hampshire college and spent 15 years as a CFO in a variety of industries including homebuilding, technology, and insurance. In 2022, she received the Women Who Count award in education by the Accounting and Financial Women’s Alliance (AFWA). In 2018, Jennifer earned the designation of Certified Speaking Professional (CSP). Making her one of only 15 people worldwide who hold both the CPA and CSP designations. CPA Practice Advisor named her one of the Top 25 Women in Accounting in 2018. She received her BA from the University of Massachusetts and an MS in Organizational Management from Antioch University New England. Lisa McKinney, CPA, Masters in Tax Accounting, University of Alabama Culverhouse School of Accountancy, Faculty. She has 25 years experience in tax consulting and planning, has been teaching tax and accounting courses at UA for 17 years, and has conducted high-level tax training at accounting firms for 18 years.

Kurt G. Oestriecher

Kurt G. Oestriecher, CPA is a partner with Oestriecher & Company CPAs in Alexandria, La., and is the partner in charge of accounting and auditing. He is Past-President of the Louisiana Society of CPAs and has served on numerous LCPA and AICPA Committees. He has facilitated CPE courses since 1992 and has received the AICPA Outstanding Discussion Leader Award 12 years and the LCPA Outstanding Discussion Leader Award four times.

Paul Perry

Paul Perry, FHFMA, CISM, CITP, CPA, CDPSEhas been with Warren Averett since 2004 and is a Member and the practice leader of the Security, Risk and Controls Group. Paul and his team focus on cybersecurity, information technology related projects, risk assessments, internal controls, internal audit and control-related projects, including System and Organization Control engagements. Paul is also the leader of the Firm's Data Analysis Group, a team of individuals within the Firm who provide data analysis solutions to both internal and external clients. For more than 11 years, he specialized in auditing and assurance services. Paul has extensive experience serving clients in the nonprofit, governmental, financial, insurance and healthcare facilities/hospital industries during this time. Paul has earned the Certified Information Technology Professional (CITP) certification. This credential is awarded to CPAs who possess both information technology and business expertise.
