Matthew R. Coakley

Matt Coakley works with the Royalty Valuation Guidance Team at the Office of Natural Resources Revenue to provide clear guidance on complex royalty valuation issues. He holds a BSBA, MACC, and an MBA and is a licensed CPA in the State of Oklahoma.

Kellen Cowan

Kellen Cowan is the Co- owner of Newave Solutions and Founder of SOML INC./Band of Brothers Tulsa. With more than a decade of experience in the technology industry Kellen manages a growing team of technical professionals who stay at the forefront of technology. He also commits his energy to the development of men in his community through the local not for profit SOML Inc. He received his BA in Business Management from Oklahoma State University in 2007.

Mia Downing

Mia began her career at Martindale Consultants in 2006 after earning a B.B.A. in Management from Oklahoma Christian University. After developing expertise in hundreds of joint venture, revenue/royalty audits and special projects, Mia now manages Martindale's revenue audit group focusing on projects that include working interest revenue, royalty, gas plants, gas balancing, net profits, trust audits, negotiating claims resolutions, and expert testimony and litigation support. Mia is a member and board member of the Council of Petroleum Accountants Society (COPAS) of Oklahoma City serving in several roles and currently serving as the local President. Mia is also a member of the Women's Energy Network. When Mia is not working, she enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, camping, and hiking.

Matt Pilkington

Matt has been with Martindale Consultants for 16 years and currently serves as a Senior Manager of Audit in Oklahoma City. Matt earned a B.S. in Finance from the University of Central Oklahoma. He is a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) and currently serves as the Chair of the COPAS Audit Committee and is an active member of the COPAS - Oklahoma City society and Association of Certified Fraud Examiners, Oklahoma City chapter.

Matt manages Martindales audit department with a focus on joint interest audits, vendor audits, litigation support, internal projects, audit resolution, and general joint interest and COPAS consultation. He specializes in helping clients with the entire joint interest and vendor audit process, from audit selection through resolution.

Brent L. Watson

Brent Watson, CPA, is the Principal at SALTA, PLLC, which he founded in September, 2017 after leaving an international accounting firm. He has more than 30 years of practice in sales tax, property tax, and tax incentive programs. Throughout his career, Watson has specialized in building systems of compliance and working with clients to educate personnel to simplify and improve sales tax processes and in building rapport with taxing authorities to effectively resolve tax issues on behalf of clients in Arkansas, Oklahoma, and Texas. Watson launched the non-income tax group at Tyson Foods in 1990, then led that group for 10 years. He has 13 years of experience as a consultant and has extensive experience in the manufacturing, oil and gas, construction, and multi-state retailing industries. He has taught seminars for Lorman Education Services, is a frequent speaker for the Oklahoma Society of CPAs and COPAS; and has authored numerous articles in the OSCPA Focus magazine as well as the COPAS Accounts magazine. Watson is a certified Avalara implementation partner and a member of the Institute for Professionals in Taxation, Oklahoma Society of Certified Public Accountants, and the Tulsa Chapter of the Oklahoma Society.
