Cryptocurrency is digital cash for the digital age. Simple, right? This session highlights the challenges specific to accounting for cryptoassets, as well as practical procedures and controls to implement when transacting in virtual assets.

Caleb Shough, CPA, is an Audit Senior Manager with BKD CPAs & Advisors in Oklahoma City. He is a member of BKD's Blockchain Committee and is actively working on audit methodology related to cryptoassets. Shough works with a joint taskforce of public accounting firms evaluating the impact of distributed ledger technology on the accounting industry, is a member of the Wall Street Blockchain Alliance Accounting Committee and is a member of the Accounting Blockchain Coalition
