Microsoft Office 365 for Accountants and CPAs (Lunch + Learn)

Rapid changes in technology, including software version changes are further driving the needs for executives, business owners and employees at all levels to continually maintain awareness and knowledge of the technical tools impacting their level of competitiveness in today's marketplace. One of these tools is Microsoft Office: a tool used in every industry and within every discipline. Today's professional should be knowledgeable on Office 365, a version of Office that is gaining more and more traction due to its relatively high impact on productivity and its cost benefit. 

Lunch + Learn Programs: Lunch is included as part of the registration fee for the Lunch + Learn programs. Food will be served at 11:30am, and the CPE program will begin at 12:00pm. Lunch + Learn programs will be held the third Tuesday, every other month (unless otherwise noted), and are sponsored by the Members in Industry Committee.

Instructors

Johnny Allen

Johnny F. Allen has been professionally engaged in business and technology since the late 1970s. Mr. Allen brings knowledge and experience to his management, marketing, leadership, entrepreneurship, and computer classes. He has a long history of utilizing a variety of PC applications to manage business ventures, projects, and educational activities. He provides technology training and business education for Metro Technology Centers, Francis Tuttle Technology Centers, NetCom Learning; he is an Adjunct Professor of Business at Oklahoma City Community College (OCCC), and provides business and computer application consulting services.

Mr. Allen earned his Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in 1991 and Master of Business Administration (MBA) in 1997 at Cameron University (CU). He was invited to remain at CU as a Management Instructor to provide undergraduate and graduate courses at the Cameron University School of Business, where he taught until 2004. He later provided technology training and business education at OCCC through Professional Development and the Division of Business, respectively. He has since completed two years at the University of Oklahoma (OU) toward a Ph.D. in Education with a concentration in Educational Instructional Psychology and Technology (EIPT).

Mr. Allen is an experienced user and instructor with a large number of computer applications, such as, Microsoft Office and Adobe Suites; including educational eLearning applications. Mr. Allen has years of business and personal experience with a variety of financial software, most notably, QuickBooks Pro.

He enjoys playing the drums, working with computers, spending time with family and friends, watching OU Football, the Dallas Cowboys, Thunder basketball, a good movie, or simply cranking up the grill.
