CPA candidates win awards for high exam scores

The OSCPA recognized top CPA exam performers at the Fall New CPA Ceremony on November 16 at Oklahoma City Community College.

Luke Fillmore of Oklahoma City received the Gold Medal Award for achieving the highest score on all four sections of the CPA exam in one window. Fillmore earned his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Oklahoma State University and is currently an assurance associate with PwC in Oklahoma City. 

There were also two honorees who received Gold Honorable Mention medals, awarded to candidates who successfully pass all four exam sections within one window. Those winners are Drew Kimble of Bunch and Joseph Morris of Stigler. Kimble earned his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the University of Oklahoma and is an auditing consultant in Tahlequah. Morris, who earned his bachelor’s from the University of Alaska Anchorage and his master’s from the University of Phoenix, is the owner of Morris Tax and Accounting in Stigler.

James Kuegler of Broken Arrow and Courtney Picking of Oklahoma City each received Silver Medals for achieving the highest score on all four sections of the CPA exam within two consecutive windows. Kuegler earned his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in accounting from the University of Oklahoma and is currently an audit associate at Grant Thornton LLP in Oklahoma City. Picking, a student member, earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of Tulsa and her master’s degree from the University of Oklahoma. She is currently a tax associate at KPMG in Oklahoma City.
