The OSCPA's Board of Directors ditched Oklahoma's red dirt for Alabama's sandy beaches at this year's board retreat on July 18-19.
The Board Retreat coincided with the OSCPA's first Beach Conference in partnership with the Society of Louisiana CPAs and the Alabama Society of CPAs.
Both events were held at The Lodge at Gulf State Park where guests were mere steps from beach views, hiking trails and water activities.
The trip involved work as well as play, and the board participated in Beach Conference CPE seminars and a working lunch meeting.
At the lunch meeting, the board members listened to a presentation on the results of a membership and engagement survey provided by the Avenue M consulting group.
Members can look forward to learning more about the results throughout the year as the OSCPA moves forward in its strategic planning process to improve member programs, increase membership value and advocate for the profession.
