The Educational Foundation promotes the accounting profession by offering scholarships to Oklahoma's most promising accounting students. Every year, the Educational Foundation awards tens of thousands of dollars in scholarships to hardworking, high‑achieving accounting students from across the state. Many of these students balance full course loads, jobs, community involvement, school extracurriculars, and financial challenges. For some, the foundation’s support is the defining factor that allows them to stay in school, complete their degree, and ultimately enter the profession we all care deeply about. Your generosity, whether through donations, volunteering, or participation in events, plays a direct and meaningful role in their success.
And speaking of participation, one of the most fun and rewarding opportunities to support the foundation is right around the corner: the OSCPA’s annual CPA Classic Golf Tournament. This event is always a highlight of the year, offering a perfect blend of networking, friendly competition, and community spirit in support of a mission that benefits us all.
Even if you don’t enjoy playing golf, everyone enjoys a day away from the office. There are so many ways to participate, including:
- Volunteering at the event

About the Educational Foundation
The Educational Foundation is a nonprofit 501(c)3 corporation that promotes the accounting profession by offering scholarships to Oklahoma's most promising accounting students. Generous contributions from businesses, communities, and, most importantly, our members, allow us to award these scholarships and promote our mission.
The Educational Foundation is comprised of nine OSCPA members, including the immediate past chair, chairperson of the Liaison with Educational Institutions Committee, and seven additional members.
Each year, the Educational Foundation raises money through donations and fundraisers. Scholarship winners are selected each summer and distribution of scholarships takes place in August. Scholarships vary in amount ($500 - $4,000) to OSCPA student members who meet the following criteria:
- Enrollment in an Oklahoma college or university for the upcoming fall semester
- Current accounting major
- Successful completion of at least six hours of principles of accounting
- Actively seeking a bachelor’s or advanced degree
