Position Overview: Reporting to the Corporate Director of Finance, the Controller leads all financial operations and strategy for Remington Park. This position ensures GAAP compliance, implements internal controls, and supports business growth through accurate financial reporting and insightful analysis. The Controller also oversees a team of up to six direct reports, providing leadership and guidance to ensure operational excellence across all finance functions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and mentor the Finance team while overseeing day-to-day operations.
• Maintain internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure reporting accuracy.
• Prepare and analyze financial reports, budgets, forecasts, and cash flows.
• Monitor daily cash flow and forecast funding needs.
• Conduct month-end, mid-month, and year-end reviews and adjust strategies accordingly.
• Collaborate with executive leadership to align financial strategy with organizational goals.
• Coordinate tax filings and support the external audit process.
• Oversee accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and general ledger operations.
• Identify areas to enhance efficiency, reduce cost, and improve systems.
• Maintain accounting manuals and procedures in alignment with best practices.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s in Accounting preferred.
• CPA designation strongly preferred.
• 10+ years in accounting/finance with progressive leadership experience.
• Proven ability to manage a diverse financial team across multiple disciplines.
• Strong analytical, forecasting, and ERP system experience.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Must pass background check, Title 31 training, and pre-employment drug test
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
